Men At The Cross
Wow!
We have just returned from the Men At The Cross event in St. Louis, Missouri. It was the first gathering of this nature that the Freedom Begins Here team attended and it was very exciting! Many of the men we talked to at our booth had a story to tell.

Real Stories
We received an email from one of the men who attended Men At The Cross that we would like to share with everyone. The following is his story.
Recently, I attended the Men at the Cross in St. Louis, MO. and was not only touched by the fact that you guys were there but also was surprised at how open the topic was discussed by the speakers. I know sexual addiction is a problem. I myself was diagnosed with sex addiction in the 90's and went through treatment for it at a hospital in September of 2007.
I know of men in my church, specifically, that suffer from sexual addiction and that would benefit from your material. I would like to talk to my pastor about getting Freedom Begins Here because of the many facets it represents and gets involved with.
I signed up for your newsletter last night and will be getting more material from you in the future. I will need that because my story and that of others I know go beyond just the pornography issue. I have suffered from pornography addiction, countless affairs, prostitutes, lusting, being lusted after, same sex relations, strip clubs, and masturbation through euphoric recall. My marriage has suffered two separations, loss of trust, degradation, feelings of inadequacy, and loss of intimacy. I also lost another marriage to this disease of sexual addiction.
Therefore, I feel I need to take steps to protect my marriage and that of others around me by bringing you guys and groups like yours to the area. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Jason (last name withheld to protect privacy)
Thank you for being so transparent! We have set up a specific place at freedombeginshere.org for your stories. Be sure to check out www.freedombeginshere.org/?page=stories to read the testimonies of others and to share your own story with others.

Our Mission
Freedom Begins Here™ was created in response to countless emails and phone calls from pastors and individuals looking for resources to really help with the problem of pornography and sexual addiction. Not just another book to read or a twelve-step program. Not a band-aid to cover the wound or a pill to mask the pain. We need to begin to shine the light of truth on the darkness by honestly talking about the problem, admitting our weaknesses and failings, and walking together in ruthless accountability.
